About us

The National Center for Gene Research (NCGR) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is now focused on rice genome re-sequencing for genotyping, genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to identify common genetic factors, comparative genome and transcriptome analysis of indica and japonica, and rice functional genomics as well. In addition, through cooperating with other laboratories, we are also interested in de novo genome sequencing of other plants and vertebrates.

  • History
This section introduces the history of NCGR and also presents previous achievements of NCGR.
  • Director
Here we introduce the resume and research experience of professor Bin Han, the director of NCGR.
  • Teams & Members
There are 42 researchers and PhD students at NCGR. They engage in three different areas: sequencing, bioinformatics and functional analysis. In addition, we have another department of support service.
  • Facility
