2014-3-10 CSIRO invited Dr. Bin Han to a meeting
On 10th March 2014, SIBS vice president Dr. Bin Han was invited to a morning tea with Dr. Megan Clark, Chief Executive of CSIRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, at the residence of Australian Consul General, Shanghai. They discussed how to foster excellence in science and research through policy and organisational approaches in China and Australia. Dr. Bin Han introduced current progress about cooperation project of wheat genome sequence and analyses between CSIRO and SIBS. Both agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the future.
CSIRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, which was located in Canberra, is Australia's national science agency and one of the largest and most diverse research agencies in the world.
Dr. Megan Clark began her career as a geologist, later working in mineral exploration, research and development management and venture capital with major Australian mining companies. Dr. Clark holds a BSc (Hons) and PhD from Queen’s University Canada. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Principal of the Global Research Alliance.
