Porfessor Bin Han has paid a visit to the CSIRO in Canberra in a bid to strengthen food security. A total of 12 experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) have been touring crop research labs at the Black Mountain site as the two agencies discuss ways to share knowledge. This meeting called CAS-CSIRO workshop on crop genomics was hold on Mar 14-18, 2011.

CSIRO, the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, is Australia's national science agency and one of the largest and most diverse research agencies in the world.
