Professor Bin Han has recently been appointed to the Science and Impact Advisory Board (SIAB) of the John Innes Centre (JIC) in Norwich, one of the country's leading centers for reasearch into plants and microbes, supported by the BBSRC.
The purpose of the JIC SIAB is to advise the Director and Governing Board on all aspects of their science programme, including helping to plan their future research activities, assessing progress, and identifying new opprotunities.
Han's PhD in molecular genetics (1992) was gained at the John Innes Centre, followed by six years of Post-Doctoral study in the Plant Science Dept. at the University of Cambridge.
